With the release of the Blackberry 9000, Blackberry has made the move from a brand that benefited utilitarian needs to one that has the design and features of many high-class cell phones. Naturally, the ability to remotely access email is still the defining feature of this blackberry, but the improved user interface and QWERTY keyboard make this version an absolute joy to use.

With Quad-band 2G and Tri-band 3G support, you’ll never be at a loss for reception. The 3G connection makes sure that your download and multimedia steaming speeds lightning quick. 3G will eventually include call reception which means that you’ll be able to enjoy crystal-clear calls with this phone.

The 480 by 320 resolution screen is a definite increase over the 8000 models. Images and text are now extremely sharp and legible even in direct sunlight.

The new user interface gives all the icons you know and love a clean edge without changing the initial theme of the pictures. The newly designed keyboard ha a great tactile feel that respond to your touch making for an intuitive typing experience.

The trackball brings back the familiar easy to use navigation of scrolling through the menu by using your finger. With the Bold the trackball gets improved lighting that will surely light your path. Other great features include a slot for MicroSD cards, wi-fi, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

All the fine standards that you expect out of a Blackberry product with some great improvements included a new user interface and improved keyboard making this the best Blackberry yet but won’t feel like an unfamiliar piece of technology.
